Breed Tweaks
Some of the breedz have ballz (body parts) in unusual places which makes it a little harder to edit the breed, eg. you might find a few of the tail ballz being used to extend the ears, and thus would need to treat those ballz as if they were part of the ear when editing or re-colouring.
Jester's Toes:
Jester is a prime example of an oddball with ballz being used for different purposes. I had to recolor each of his toes (by editing the colours of his .sav file 'coat'), release him into the game and observe which parts had changed colour. Here are the results:
